ANDREA ROSCHKE, Principal & CPA
Andrea, a native Californian, was raised in the San Fernando Valley. She received her accounting degree from California State University Northridge in 1984. While in her freshman year of college, Andrea began her career in an accounting firm as a secretary, working her way up to the position of junior accountant while still in school, and eventually becoming a partner in the firm.
Andrea has also worked as a controller for a manufacturing company. This experience gave her tremendous insight into the inner workings of a multi-million dollar government contractor, which has become one of her specialties. She handles all DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) audits for her government clients, and has established an excellent reputation with the auditors at DCAA.
In recent years, Andrea had been involved with a start-up Internet company. She became involved at their inception by assisting them with the preparation of their business plan and securing venture capital. She helped them raise more than $45,000,000 in venture capital funds. She created and managed the Accounting, Human Resources, and Facilities departments as the company grew from five employees to more than two hundred, and guided them through their successful IPO in September 1999. She also designed and supervised the implementation of their Oracle accounting system. Through this process, Andrea has gained valuable experience and skills with regard to this highly specialized type of accounting. She continues to meet with and consult for other entrepreneurial ventures.
Andrea and her husband Mark have two sons in college. In her spare time, she likes the theater, reading and entertaining friends. |
